What really happened on our latest BTS

Shortly before the Christmas break, our team headed out on location to film a slightly different style of music video than we have previously. We travelled down to a cracking location, based at Bar Farm Antiques, hustled away in the outskirts of York, and produced a music video called Forestal for a client’s video channel: ‘Share Ideas’.

Our producer Sarah, found an excellent backdrop for the video, which took place in a vintage kitchen and we don't think it could have fit the scene any more perfectly!

We had everything from strobe lights, to eggs and soldiers, a smoke machine, and of course many original vintage props from the location itself.

It’s times like these where we get to enjoy storyboarding something entirely from scratch, allowing us to get a little more creative, and with a lot more pre-production involved. From the initial idea, to planning the shots, and casting an actor to fit the storyline, we were incredibly happy with the final footage from the day's filming! We worked with actor, Pip Atkins, who was the main feature in this film. We also used make up and special effects artist, Marie Hollingsworth. They all contributed to the darker atmosphere we created to fit the theme of the video.

The project is now back in the office with our editors, so stay tuned on our YouTube channel to see the final piece… but if you want to see an exclusive behind the scenes right now, we have put together a little video below from our day on set.
